Work packages

There are 11 different work packages in the ADLIFE project. Our various consortium partners and members are responsible for managing specific components of the research, including coordination and overall management, technical build of the intervention, ethics, evaluation and communication and dissemination.

WP1 | Co-ordination & Management

The main objective of Work Package 1 is to manage and coordinate the project properly.


WP2 | Dissemination & Communication

The main objective of Work Package 2 is to coordinate the dissemination and communication of the ADLIFE project’s ongoing activities and results to a wide range of audiences.


WP3 | Personalised Care Management Platform

The central objective of Work Package 3 is to deliver on the technical requirements for the ADLIFE patient and clinician software and associated architectures and platforms.


WP4 | Patient Empowerment Platform

Work Package 4 delivered the Patient Empowerment Platform which patients and their informal caregivers use to access and review care plans and to support communication between patients and their caregivers.


WP5 | Clinical Decision Support System

Work Package 5 developed a Clinical Decision Support System which provides personalised guideline-driven care plans for patients and caregivers.


WP6 | Evidence Based Personalised Care Delivery

Work Package 6 designed a change management strategy, taking into account the potential barriers to routine implementation and providing solutions.


WP7 | Empowerment of Patients, Caregivers & Communities

Work Package 7 Empowerment of Patients, Caregivers & Communities worked towards enhancing patients’ and caregivers’ quality of life and empowering them.


WP8 | Pilot Design & Implementation

The main objectives of this WP are:

  • To engage all stakeholders (patients, families, formal caregivers, healthcare professionals, social workers, volunteers…)

  • To prepare and set up all materials and technical resources required for the intervention

  • To deploy the intervention focused on early detection of supportive care needs and personalized supportive care delivery

  • To ensure consistent and effective deployment of the intervention by early detection of difficulties or deviations and a prompt adjustment and solution.


WP9 | Evaluation

The main objective of Workpackage 9 is to assess the effectiveness of ADLIFE intervention on the health gain, quality of life, working conditions, health services utilization and economic impact.


WP10 | Exploitation

The main objective of workpackage 10 is to maximise the exploitation of the innovation findings which includes the process experiences, outputs and outcomes of implementing the ADLIFE toolbox.


WP11 | Ethics Requirements

This WP addresses the key ethical issues of the ADLIFE project, including developing the study protocol and associated documentation as well as obtaining local ethical approvals in each partner country / pilot site prior to commencing the pilot study.
