Steven Renner

Head of Office

 

Steven is the head of the office for Gesunder Werra-Meißner-Kreis GmbH since October 2019. So, he is in charge of the day-to-day-work at the local health network based in Eschwege. In 1997 he obtained a degree in economics. Subsequently, he worked as a management consultant for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities and cooperatives, and later as the managing director of a German Red Cross (DRK) association.

In Gesunder Werra-Meißner-Kreis he is specifically responsible for creation of health insurance transcending, integrated regional health care interventions that incorporate health care as well as social services. This includes the analysis of health insurance data to scope the potential for health care interventions, as well as the management and evaluation of interventions. He supports the GWMK health guide network as instructor and is a certified GWMK health guide himself.

In addition to his work, Steven is responsible for the management of an organization called “quality of life” in Hessisch Lichtenau, of which he has been a member since the foundation in 2000. In addition, he is a lecturer at a health school for emergency services. For this post he has the training as an emergency-paramedic and a pedagogical qualification.

Steven is also involved in regional health policy, as a voluntary judge at the labour and social court and district court in Kassel and has been a member of the city parliament in Hessisch Lichtenau since 2004.
