Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Tanja Stamm, PhD, MSc, MBA, is a habilitated health scientist (2007 at MedUni Vienna). She completed a large part of her education abroad, including Karolinska Institutet (Therapy Science, MSc) in Stockholm, the University of Brighton in England (PhD studies in Health Science), and the Medical Faculty of Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (Human Biology, Dr. rer. biol. hum.). She also completed a postgraduate course in business administration and management (MBA) at the Vienna University of Technology and the Danube University Krems. For 11 years, she was head of the biometrics working group at the University Clinic for Internal Medicine III of MedUni Vienna at Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien). Also, she headed the scientific-technical course in Health Assisting Engineering at the FH Campus Vienna (2012-2015). Tanja Stamm currently holds at over 180 scientific publications. She is an editor or member of the editorial boards of several journals. She has been an honorary member of the 'European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR)' since June 2012 and works as a reviewer for the Federal Ministry of Health. Tanja Stamm has been a Professor of Outcomes Research at the Center for Medical Data Science at MedUni Vienna since December 2015, and has also been Vice-Director of the Center since 2018 and Director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Arthritis and Rehabilitation since 2022. She is currently coordinating the Health Outcomes Observatory (H2O) project of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and a working group on Value-based Healthcare of the European Alliance of University Hospitals.
