Jaime Fanjul Garcia

Data Scientist

Jaime Fanjul is a Data Scientist working at NTT DATA AI Center of Excellence with expertise in leading and building end-to-end production scale machine learning solutions and continuously delivering innovation to customers. Currently, his work focuses on developing interpretable deep learning models for predictive healthcare using longitudinal electronic health records in medical AI field.

He received his MSc. in Data Science from University of Navarra in 2021, where he has led research efforts in semi-supervised machine learning methodologies to reduce the required amount of labeled data in financial fraud detection systems. Prior to Navarra, he received his B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from University of Oviedo with distinctions.

His main interests include sequence modeling based on Transformers to address capturing long dependencies and accelerate convergence in early detection models.

In the project as Data Scientist he is responsible for the technical development of predictive models, their continuous integration and evaluation prior to the intervention.
