Laura obtained an MD in Medicine at the University of Seville (2007) and a specialist degree in internal medicine in the University Hospital Virgen del Rocio, Sevilla (2013). Since the end of 2013 is working in Bidasoa Hospital (Gipuzkoa) as an internal medicine doctor in internal medicine wards and continuity of care unit for multimorbid patients in collaboration with primary care. In 2017, she obtained her Ph.D. in chronic care diseases at the University of Seville (2003). She has collaborated in different papers in the field of comorbidity.
