Dr Chao Tong

Software Engineer

Chao is a Software Engineer at the Digital Health Technology Research Group, in the Department of Electronic Electrical and Systems Engineering, School of Engineering, College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham. Chao received his MSc degree (IT and Business Management) from University of Sussex in 2013, and PhD degree (Data visualization on healthcare) from Swansea University in 2019. Chao has experience on many healthcare projects, including ETL tools, web-based sample tracking system and external data dashboard. His research interests include healthcare informatics, data visualization and web-based clinical system.

Chao mainly works on ADLIFE project, and is also supporting other projects, such as the EU CAREPATH project. In ADLIFE, Chao is actively involved in work packages 3, 5 and 8.
