Ana Ortega-Gil

Ana is a health engineer with a telecommunication background, and MD graduated in Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) in 2013. She has a Ph.D. in Electric, Electronic and Automatic Engineering at the Bioengineering Department in UC3M, obtained in 2019 using the framework of the IMI-founded Predict-TB project. Her experience in enabling technologies encompasses image-processing techniques for disease early detection, biomarkers definition, teaching/disseminating activities and identification of unmet needs solvable by technological discoveries. She is the co-coordinator of the Health Engineers to Goroka (PNG) stay program in EHAS NGO, and since January 2020, ICT Manager for European Healthcare Projects in Kronikgune.
