The ADLIFE Consortium Kick Off Meeting was held in Bilbao, Spain on 21st and 22nd January 2020 and was hosted by Consortium Leads and Project Co-ordinators, Kronikgune. The Kick Off meeting provided the first opportunity for this new and exciting consortium to come together and for colleagues to meet face-to-face.

On Day 1, each partner presented a brief overview of their organisation and health service provision in their respective country and locality, providing useful context for the Consortium for the clinical settings the ADLIFE toolkit will be deployed in. Over Days 1 and 2, each Work Package Lead presented an overview of their Work Package tasks, timelines, deliverables and opportunities for cross-collaboration between partners and Work Packages.

At the end of Day 1, hosts Kronikgune arranged for the Consortium to have a guided tour of Bilbao’s famous Guggenheim Museum and experience some traditional Basque Country cuisine with a delicious tapas style tasting menu group meal. This social gathering provided Consortium members the opportunity to get to know each other more and chat informally in beautiful surroundings.

By the end of Day 2 it was clear we are a strong, committed, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Consortium and collectively we excited about working together to make the ADLIFE project a success.
